Introduction to First Aid in Training
About Us
Having been a Cabin Manager & Recruitment Manager for a leading Airline for over 12 years, no two days were the same. Over this period of time I have had to deal with and manage very different and difficult First Aid situations, from minor ailments to the more life-threatening conditions; including Heart Attacks to Anaphylaxis shock.
When a passengers life was in jeopardy, it would be the Cabin Managers decision after liaising with the captain on whether a flight should be diverted.? (The cost to divert a flight - roughly costs an airline £20,000). This question was very easy to answer - The PRESERVATION of life!
I have treated many a patient / casualty and as you can imagine your adrenailine is heightened, but after any event, knowing you have saved a life is very empowering!
After several months of studying for a teaching qualification, lots of hard work, studying, teaching, exams and being assessed - First Aid in Training was formed.
